BANANA COFFEE CAKE 
6 tbsp. butter
3/4 c. sugar
1 egg
1 tbsp. grated lemon peel
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. milk
2 c. flour
1 tbsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
3 lg. bananas (3 cups)

TOPPING:

1/2 c. brown sugar
1/3 c. flour
3/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 c. butter

Cream butter and sugar until fluffy. Beat egg and lemon peel and vanilla until smooth. Stir in milk. Combine dry ingredients and creamed mixture until blended. Fold in sliced bananas. Spoon into well greased 9 x 9 inch pan. Bake at 375 degree oven for 45 to 50 minutes.
