MY MOTHER'S BUTTERSCOTCH SAUCE 
1 c. brown sugar, packed
1/4 c. milk
2 tbsp. corn syrup
4 tbsp. REAL butter

Boil all ingredients until it forms a soft ball when tested in cold water. (Remove before "soft ball" stage if you like a thinner sauce). I test if on ice cream! Excellent on plain cake, angel cake but superb on ice cream.
