FRENCH SILK CHOCOLATE PIE 
1/2 c. butter
3/4 c. sugar
1 sq. unsweetened chocolate, melted & cooled
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 (8-9") baked pastry or graham cracker pie crust
1/4 c. grated pecans

Cream butter and sugar. Blend in chocolate. Add vanilla. Add eggs, one at a time, beating for 2-3 minutes after each addition. Pour into prepared pie shell. Chill thoroughly.

Note: If desired, pie may be topped with whipped cream, sprinkled with shaved chocolate or walnuts. Also, chocolate may be increased to 1 1/2 squares. In Texas they sprinkle only with grated pecans!
