1 1/4 c. sugar
2/3 c. shortening
3 eggs
1 1/4 c. mashed bananas
2 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
4 tbsp. buttermilk
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 c. chopped nuts

Cream sugar and shortening together. Add eggs, one at a time and beat well. Then add mashed bananas. Add remaining ingredients.

Bake in 9 x 13 pan at 350 degrees until testing done with toothpick.

ICING:

1 stick butter
1 box powdered sugar
8 oz. cream cheese

Beat together, add a little milk if too thick.
