BROCCOLI AND MACARONI SOUP 
1 pkg. chopped broccoli
1 c. cut up linguini (spaghetti)
2 tbsp. oil
1 clove garlic, chopped fine

Cook broccoli in good size saucepan in 1 quart of water. Do not drain. Brown oil and garlic and add to cooked broccoli. boil linguini. Separate when tender. Drain and add to broccoli mixture. Salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot in soup plates. Top with grated cheese. One or 2 tablespoons of tomato sauce can be added for color. This is a matter of taste or 1 fresh tomato, cut up can be used. This can also be made with some other vegetables like zucchini, kale.
