BARBECUED PORK RIBS
1 rack of spare ribs
1/8 tsp. thyme
1 tsp. Tabasco
1 onion, chopped
1 tsp. pepper
2 cloves garlic

In a large pot place ribs with water to cover. Add all other ingredients and let come to a boil. Do not over cook. Ribs are easier to handle if cut into pieces before cooking.

SAUCE:

3/4 c. ketchup
1/4 c. corn syrup, light or dark
3 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
3 tbsp. cider vinegar
1/3 c. brown sugar
Black pepper to taste, more or less
1 tsp. Tabasco, more or less to taste
2 tsp. chili powder, more or less to taste
2 tsp. paprika, more or less to taste
Chopped onion and garlic.

Combine all ingredients in a pan and heat thoroughly. Pat ribs dry and brush with sauce. Brush and turn often as they are being BBQ'd until they are nicely browned.

This can be done in the oven, slow heat, 325 degrees, basting and turning until well done and shiny.

NOTE: Sauce is good on chicken, steak or hamburgers being BBQ'd. Sauce recipe can be doubled or tripled and it keeps very well in the refrigerator.
