SPARKLY COOKIE STARS 
3 1/2 c. unsifted flour
1 tbsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 (14 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk
3/4 c. butter, softened
2 eggs
1 tbsp. vanilla or 2 tsp. almond extract
1 egg white, slightly beaten
Red and green colored sugar

Combine flour, baking powder and salt in a large mixing bowl; mix sweetened condensed milk, butter, eggs and extract until well blended. Add dry ingredients and mix well. Chill 2 hours on floured surface; knead dough to form a smooth ball. Divide into thirds. On well floured surface, roll each portion to 1/8 inch thickness. Cut with a floured star cookie cutter (or other shape if desired). Reroll as necessary to use all dough. Place 1 inch apart on greased baking sheets. Brush with egg white. Sprinkle with sugar. Bake in 350 degree preheated oven for 7 to 9 minutes or until lightly browned around edges. Do not overbake. This cookie rolls out easier than any cookie I've ever tried!
