CHERRY BARS 
1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/8 tsp. salt
1 c. rolled oats
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/3 c. butter, melted

Sift together flour, soda, and salt. Add oats, brown sugar, and butter; mix until blended. Firmly press mixture into a 9 x 9 x 2 inch pan.

TOPPING:

1/4 c. all-purpose flour
3/4 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
2 eggs, slightly beaten
3/4 c. chopped maraschino cherries, red and-or green
1/2 c. flaked coconut
1/2 c. chopped walnuts

Mix ingredients for topping thoroughly; spread over oat mixture. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Cool and cut into bars.
