1 c. sugar
1/4 c. butter
1 egg
3 med. apples
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. baking soda

Cream sugar, butter, egg. Sift dry ingredients. Pare and grated apples. Combine all ingredients and nuts. Bake in 9x13 greased and floured pan at 350 degrees for 35 minutes. Serve warm.
