1/2 c. butter
2 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
4 c. apples, chopped
1 c. nuts, chopped

Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla. Add flour, baking soda and cinnamon and nutmeg. Then add apples and nuts. Bake in 13 x 9 inch greased and floured pan at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.

BUTTER SAUCE:

1 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter not butter
1 c. Carnation milk
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. cornstarch, dissolved in a little cold water

Cook until clear. Store in glass jar in refrigerator.
