PEA PEAR POUND CAKE 
1 1/2 c. salad oil
3 eggs
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/4 c. sugar
1 c. black-eyed peas (drained and pureed)
2 tsp. cinnamon
3 c. flour
1 1/2 c. canned pears (chopped and drained)

Combine oil, sugar and eggs. Mix well. Add dry ingredients and vanilla. Fold in pears. Cook 1 hour 20 minutes at 350 degrees. Let cool in pan 20 minutes.
