MOTHER'S DAY BARS 
1 c. butter of butter
1/2 c. honey or white syrup
2 1/2 c. oatmeal
1 1/2 c. flour
1 1/2 c. brown sugar
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
3/4 tsp. baking soda
2/3 c. peanut butter
1 1/3 c. chocolate chips

Mix all dry ingredients in mixing bowl. Melt butter and honey and add with vanilla to dry mixture. Mix. Press into 10 X 15 jelly roll pan.

Bake at 350°F for 15 to 20 minutes until golden brown. Remove from oven. Spoon peanut butter in globs over bars and sprinkle with chocolate chips. Cover the pan and when peanut butter and chips are soft, spread evenly to frost. Cut while warm.
