CHICKEN IN A PAPER BAG 
4 to 5 lb. hen or fryer

Season well with pepper, Lawry's salt, and garlic salt. Place sliced onion (1 or 2) in cavity. Layer bacon strips on top. Place in paper grocery bag, staple and shut. Place in shallow baking pan and bake in a 450 degree oven for 1 hour. Reduce to 350 degrees and bake for 1 more hour. Put vegetables around the outside of bag during the last hour. Do not open bag to peek.
