FLATBREAD 
3/4 c. buttermilk
1/4 c. cream
1/4 c. shortening
1/2 tsp. salt
1/3 tsp. baking soda
2 tbsp. sugar
1 3/4 to 2 c. flour

Melt shortening and mix with sugar. Add flour, sifted with salt and soda. Add liquids and flour gradually. When thick enough to handle, shape into about 20 balls, and let rest for 30 minutes. Roll thin. Bake at 350 degrees on a cookie sheet. Break into serving sized pieces.
