RAW APPLE CAKE 
2 c. coconut
1 c. nuts, chopped
3 c. raw tart apples, cubed
2 c. sugar
3 c. all purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
2 tsp. vanilla
3 eggs, well beaten
1 1/2 c. vegetable oil
1 c. chopped dates

Cream sugar and eggs until light. Add oil. Add dry ingredients. Add apples, nuts and coconut. Add dates which have been rolled in small amount of flour. Bake in tube pan at 300 degrees until firm when tested, about 1 1/2 hours. After cake has completely cooled, spread with topping which is made with the following ingredients: 1 cup brown sugar, 1 stick butter and 1/4 cup milk which have been blended and cooked until bubbles burst and cooled to room temperature.
