1 box German chocolate cake mix
5 oz. (sm.) can Pet (evaporated) milk
1 block butter
1 c. pecans
14 oz. bag caramels
1 bag coconut
1 c. chocolate chips

Mix cake mix, butter and 3 ounces Pet milk together. Add pecans. Pat; spread 1/2 dough in a 13x9-inch pan (no substitute). Bake 6 minutes at 350°F.

Dissolve caramels with 2 ounces Pet (evaporated) milk. Remove from pan; add chocolate chips and coconut. Drizzle caramel mixture all over. Drop by teaspoonful of remaining dough, then pat out to cover the top. Bake 15 to 20 minutes or until it does not shine any more.
