BARBECUED PORK STRIPS
1 1/2 lb. pork loin
5 tbsp. soy sauce
2 tbsp. finely sliced fresh ginger
2 tbsp. rice wine
2 tbsp. sugar
1 tbsp. Haisin sauce
3 drops red food coloring
1 tbsp. sugar
2 tbsp. hot water
1 tbsp. sesame oil
2 green onions, sliced

Trim fat from pork and slice into strips 5-inches long, 1/2-inch thick and wide. Make marinade by combining soy sauce, ginger, wine, 2 tablespoons sugar, Haisin sauce, and food coloring.

Marinate pork for at least 1 hour. Put pork strips on skewers and place in barbecue or oven. Cover and roast for 7 minutes. Turn and roast on the other side for 5 minutes or until meat is tender.

Remove from barbecue and brush with syrup made from sugar, hot water, and sesame oil. Garnish with green onions.

NOTE: This barbecue is served over rice, noodles, or different kinds of cooked vegetable dishes.
