BARBECUED BEEF STRIPS 
3 lb. beef round steak, cut 3/4" thick
1/4 c. flour
2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1/4 c. cooking oil
1/2 c. chopped onions
3/4 c. water
1 1/2 c. barbecue sauce
1/2 lb. fresh mushrooms, sliced
12 hamburger buns

Partially freeze round and cut into strips 1/8 inch thick and about 3 inches long. Combine flour, salt and pepper. Dredge strips of beef in seasoned flour and brown lightly in cooking oil. Pour off drippings. Add onion and water, cover tightly and cook slowly 30 minutes.

Add barbecue sauce and sliced mushrooms. Cover and continue cooking slowly 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Serve on hamburger buns.
