ZIPPY BARBECUED BEEF STRIPS 
3 lb. round steak, cut 3/4" thick
1/4 c. flour
2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1 1/2 c. barbecue sauce
1/4 c. cooking fat
1/2 lb. fresh mushrooms, sliced
1/2 c. chopped onion
3/4 c. water
12 hamburger buns

Partially freeze round steak, cut into strips 1/8" thick, about 3 inches long. Combine flour, salt and pepper. Dredge strips of meat in seasoned flour and brown lightly in cooking fat. Pour off drippings. Add onions and water. Cover tightly and cook slowly 30 minutes. Add barbecue sauce and sliced mushrooms. Cover and continue cooking 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Serve on buns. Yield 12 barbecue filled buns.
