MEAT LOAF | |
1/2 c. onion 1/2 c. green pepper 2 tbsp. minced parsley 3 tbsp. hot fat 1 c. bread crumbs 1 1/2 lb. ground beef 1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce 1 tbsp. dry mustard 2 tsp. salt 1/8 tsp. pepper 3/4 c. milk 2 eggs Cook onions, green pepper and parsley in fat. Add bread crumbs. Mix ground beef, Worcestershire sauce, dry mustard, salt, pepper, milk and eggs. Combine all ingredients. Shape into loaf. Bake in moderate oven (350 degrees) for 30 minutes. Mix 1/2 cup catsup, 3 tablespoons brown sugar and 2 tablespoons vinegar. Spread over loaf. Bake 20 minutes. Serves 6. |
