“MEXICAN SLOPPY JOES” IS IN:

MEXICAN SLOPPY JOES 
1 lb. lean ground beef
2/3 cup chopped onion
2/3 cup chopped green bell pepper
1 tsp. minced garlic
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1/2 tsp. chili powder
1/4 tsp. salt
Dash hot pepper sauce

Crumble beef into a 2 qt. micro-safe casserole. Scatter the onion, bell pepper, and garlic on top. Cover with lid or vented plastic wrap. Microwave on high 5-7 minutes till beef is no longer pink and vegetables are crisp tender. Drain. Stir in tomato sauce, Worcestershire sauce, chili powder, salt and hot pepper sauce. Microwave, uncovered, on high for 6-8 minutes, stirring twice, till sauce is slightly thickened. Ready to serve on a hamburger bun, with your choice of toppings: tomatoes, lettuce, cheese, etc.

Makes 8 servings.
