FRESH APPLE POUND CAKE 
2 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. cooking oil
4 eggs
3 c. cake flour
1 tsp. salt
3 c. apples, diced
1 c. chopped nuts
1 c. coconut
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix sugar and oil, add eggs beat after each one. Sift dry ingredients and add to egg mixture and beat. Add apples, nuts, vanilla and coconut. Bake in a greased and floured tube pan or bundt pan for 1 hour and 20 minutes at 350 degrees. Do not open oven!

TOPPING:

1 1/2 c. brown sugar
1 stick of butter
1/2 c. chopped nuts
3 tsp. milk

Combine and heat to the softball stage. Pour over cooled cake.
