CARAMEL CORN 
2 c. light brown sugar
1/2 c. corn syrup
1 tsp. salt
1 stick butter
1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. vanilla
Quart or 1 big bowl of popcorn

Combine saucepan butter, melted, corn syrup, brown sugar, cream of tartar and salt. Heat to boil to 200 degrees. Remove from heat. Stir in baking soda then vanilla. Pour over popcorn immediately. Mix well. Spread on cookie sheets. Bake in 200 degree oven for 20 minutes. When done scoop off cookie sheets immediately and put on waxed paper to cool.
