BANANA - SPLIT CAKE 
2 c. graham cracker crumbs
5 tbsp. butter, melted
2 c. powdered sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 stick butter
2 eggs
3 bananas
1 (No. 2) can crushed pineapple
Lg. container Cool Whip

Mix crumbs and melted butter; press in bottom of pan. Beat powdered sugar, vanilla and 1 stick butter together for 10 minutes. This step is important. Add eggs; continue to beat. Spread over crumb layers. Peel bananas and cut in halves lengthwise, and place over cream layer. Drain pineapple thoroughly. Spoon over bananas. Cover with Cool Whip. Chill 4 hours. Cut in squares. Garnish with cherries. Can put nuts on top.
