BANANA SPLIT DESSERT 
1 pkg. yellow cake mix
1/2 c. butter, softened
1 egg

FILLING:

1 can ready to spread chocolate frosting
3 sm. sliced bananas
1 env. unflavored gelatin
3 tbsp. boiling water
3 c. Cool whip
8 oz. pkg. cream cheese

Heat oven to 350 degrees. In large bowl combine base ingredients. Mix at low speed until crumbly. Press into bottom of ungreased 13 x 9 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown. Cool.

Spread 3/4 cup frosting over base. (Reserve remaining frosting.) Arrange bananas in single layer over frosting. Dissolve gelatin in boiling water. In large bowl combine dissolved gelatin and rest of frosting, heat until well mixed. Add cream cheese, beat. Add 1/3 of whipped cream, beat until smooth. Spread over bananas. Spread rest of Cool Whip over top of dessert. Refrigerate several hours or overnight.
