SOUR MILK BISCUITS
1 tsp. baking powder
3/4 tsp. salt
1/3 tsp. baking soda
4 tsp. lard
2/3 c. sour milk

People used a bread tray. You sifted tray full of flour, made a hole in middle, put soda, baking powder and salt in the hole, mixed a little flour with it, then put the milk in. Took lard in hand, squeezed and worked until you had mixed; knead a little. Sprinkle flour on dough board and put your dough onto it. Roll about 3/4 inch, then cut out biscuits. Turn them over in greased pan and bake in hot oven.
