TOMATO PRESERVES | |
6 lb. firm ripe tomatoes 2 oranges sliced 1 lemon sliced 8 c. sugar Peel and quartered, and seed tomatoes. Cover with sugar. Let stand overnight or several hours. Drain off syrup and bring to boil for 10 minutes. Add the tomatoes, oranges, and lemon. Cook over low heat until thickens. Seal in sterilized jars. |
