CHOCOLATE CHIP DISHPAN COOKIES | |
2 c. white sugar 2 c. brown sugar 2 c. shortening 4 eggs 5 c. flour 2 tsp. baking soda 2 tsp. baking powder 3 c. rolled oats or 1 c. coconut & 2 c. oats 1 tsp. salt 1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips 1/2 c. nuts (if desired) Mix shortening and sugar. Add eggs, then add flour slowly. Add oats and remaining ingredients. May need to be mixed with hands as it is very stiff. Roll in 1 1/2 inch balls or drop on greased cookie sheet. Bake 8 minutes at 350 degrees. Makes 6 dozen. |
