TACO CASSEROLE | |
1 lb. (or so) ground beef 1 can kernel corn 1 can tomato sauce 1 packet taco seasoning 1 bag plain tortilla chips Sliced Velveeta (melted the best) Diced onions (opt.) Mild or hot peppers, chopped (opt.) Saute beef. Drain oil, add tomato sauce, corn, seasoning and add optional ingredients now. Simmer. Put this into casserole dish big enough for added chips and cheese. Crumble chips as you put them into casserole to about half of their regular size (the more chips the less runny, also depends on amount of cheese used). Mix the chips throughout casserole. Put cheese slices throughout casserole, bottom, middle, sides. Put layer of cheese across top of casserole. Bake at 350 degrees for about 25 to 35 minutes. Can be served with a side of refried beans or Spanish rice. Balance of chips can be used for dipping. |
