SNICKERDOODLES 
1 c. soft shortening
2 eggs
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 3/4 c. flour
1 tbsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt

Thoroughly mix first 3 ingredients. Sift together remaining ingredients and stir in. Chill dough. Roll into balls size of a small walnut. Dip into 2 tablespoons sugar and 2 tablespoons cinnamon.

Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 5-6 minutes. These cookies will look like they aren't done. They will slightly brown on bottom.
