MENNONITE BARS 
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. butter
2 c. oatmeal
2 c. white flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt

Mix all crust ingredients together by hand until crumbly. Pat half of mixture in bottom of pan.

FILLING:

1 c. ground raisins
1 tbsp. flour
1 c. sugar
1 c. water
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. salt

Mix filling ingredients in small saucepan. Heat to boiling and thickened, pour on crust, top with remaining crust and topping mix. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Cool. Cut. Pan size is 13 x 9 x 2 inches. Yield: 2 dozen.
