CHINESE CHEWS 
1/2 c. butter
2 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. chopped pecans or coconut

Melt butter in a saucepan. Stir in brown sugar, cool slightly. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Add flour, baking powder and salt. Stir in pecans or coconut. Bake in a greased 9x13 pan at 350 until mixture falls, about 25-30 minutes. Cool before cutting.
