BROWN SUGAR COOKIES (Norwegian) 
1 c. butter
1 c. brown sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. ground cardamon
1 tbsp. ground cinnamon
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
2 1/2 c. flour
1 c. almonds, finely chopped

Cream the butter and brown sugar. Add egg and mix well. Add dry ingredients. Fold in the almonds. Form into balls the size of walnuts or smaller. Press down with a fork that first is placed in white or colored sugar. Bake 8-10 minutes at 375 degrees.
