ORANGE DROP COOKIES 
2 c. sugar
1 c. shortening
2 eggs
1 c. sour milk
34 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 lg. or 2 sm. oranges

Cream sugar and shortening. Beat in eggs. Alternate sour milk with sifted dry ingredients. Add orange and rind from oranges, saving some to flavor icing. Bake at 375 degrees on ungreased cookie sheet until lightly browned. For the icing, can use prepared or make confectioners' sugar icing by adding orange juice and rind. A few drops of orange food coloring.
