PASTIE 
FILLING:

1 c. potatoes, diced
1/2 c. onion, diced
1/2 c. beef, cut fine
1 tbsp. butter
Salt & pepper to taste

PASTRY:

1 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tbsp. shortening
2 tbsp. cold water

Mix dry ingredients and moisten with cold water. Roll as for pie. The filling of meat, onion and potatoes and seasonings is added. Bring edges of crust together with crimp on top. Bake in 375 degree oven for 1 hour. This makes 1 pastie.
