MAKE AHEAD FRENCH TOAST | |
4 eggs 2/3 c. orange juice 1/3 c. milk 1/4 c. sugar 1/4 tsp. nutmeg 1/2 tsp. vanilla 1 loaf bread, cut in 1 inch slices 3 tbsp. melted butter 1/2 c. chopped nuts Beat together first 6 ingredients and pour over the bread which has been put in flat baking dish, single layer or overlapped. Cover. Refrigerate overnight. Turn slices once if time permits. Turn oven to 400 degrees. Put butter in jelly roll pan; place bread in a single layer, sprinkle with nuts. Bake 20-25 minutes at 350 degrees. |
