SHERRIED BEEF 
2 lbs. beef or venison, cubed
1 jar sliced mushrooms, drained
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1/2 c. sherry or red wine
1 envelope onion soup mix (or 1/2 for less salt)

Put raw meat on bottom of crockpot and cover with remaining ingredients. Cook on low for 6 to 8 hours, stirring a few times. Serve over hot buttered noodles or rice. Makes 8 servings.
