SELF-FILLED CUPCAKES 
1 pkg. (2 layer size) chocolate cake mix
1 pkg. (8 oz.) cream cheese, softened
1/3 c. sugar
1 egg
Dash salt
1 pkg. (6 oz.) chocolate bits

Mix cake according to package directions. Fill paper cups in muffin pans two-thirds full.

Cream the cheese with the sugar; beat in egg and salt; stir in chocolate bits. Drop one rounded teaspoon cheese mixture into each cup cake. Bake as package directs. Approx. 30.

CREAM CHEESE ICING:

1 pkg. (8 oz.) cream cheese, softened
3 tbsp. butter, softened
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/2 to 3 c. 10X sugar

Beat together, add a little milk if too thick. Frost cold cupcakes.
