CHOW CHOW 
1 gal. cabbage
2 qts. green tomatoes
1/2 c. hot pepper, if desired
1 c. bell peppers
1 qt. onions
2 lbs. brown sugar
1/2 gal. vinegar
3 tsp. allspice
2 tsp. cinnamon
2 tsp. pepper
Salt to taste

In a large pot, chop and combine the above ingredients. Bring to a boil; then simmer for 30 minutes. Fill sterilized jars and seal at once. Makes approximately 9 quarts.
