SOFT PRETZELS 
2 pkgs. dry yeast
1 1/2 c. warm water
1/2 tsp. coarse salt
4 1/2 c. flour
1/4 c. baking soda
1 c. warm water

Dissolve yeast in lukewarm water.

Measure flour into a large mixing bowl and add the yeast and salt mixture; stir well.

Let rise in a warm spot 15 minutes. Mix baking soda in water in long tray.

Roll dough into long strips and place in baking soda solution for approximately 2 minutes. Shape long strips into pretzel shape and place on greased cookie sheet. Sprinkle with coarse salt.

Bake at 350°F 20 minutes.

Makes 12 large pretzels or 20 small pretzels.
