ASPARAGUS CASSEROLE | |
2 pkgs. frozen asparagus, cooked and drained 2 hard boiled eggs, sliced 3 slices bread, cubed 3 tbsp. butter White Sauce: 2 tbsp. butter 1 tbsp. cornstarch 2 cups milk Melt 2 tablespoons butter in saucepan. Stir in cornstarch. Cook for 1 minute. Add milk while stirring mixture. Stir mixture over medium-high heat until it boils. Boil for 1 minute. Pour White Sauce over asparagus and hard boiled eggs. Cut three slices of bread into cubes. Melt 3 tablespoons butter in saucepan and add bread cubes. When butter is absorbed by bread cubes, put bread cubes on top of casserole. Bake in 350°F oven until hot and bubbly, and bread cubes are toasty; about 30 minutes. Submitted by: Roberta Stocksdale |
