WESTERN SKILLET RICE | |
1 lb. ground beef 1 env. Lipton onion soup mix 1 1/2 c. water 3/4 c. uncooked processed white rice 1 lb. canned stewed tomatoes 1 c. peas, cooked or frozen 1 c. shredded sharp Cheddar cheese In medium skillet, brown meat, stirring frequently. Drain fat. Stir in soup mix, water, rice, tomatoes and peas. Simmer, uncovered 25 minutes or until rice is tender. Top with cheese, and serve. Serves 4 to 6. |
