GOLDEN HARVEST SALAD | |
1 pkg. lemon Jello 1 pkg. orange Jello 1 1/2 c. boiling water 2 c. cold water 2 bananas, sliced 1 can mandarin oranges 16-20 oz. can crushed pineapple, drained 2 c. mini marshmallows (optional) TOPPING: 1 egg 1/3 c. sugar 1 tbsp. flour 1 tsp. corn starch 1 c. reserved pineapple juice 1/2 pt. whipping cream, whipped 1/2 c. Cheddar cheese, grated Combine Jellos in bowl. Dissolve with the boiling water. Add the cold water. Chill slightly. Line pan with sliced bananas. Layer in pan orange slices, drained pineapple and marshmallows. Pour Jello over. When slightly set, spread on topping. To make topping, mix in blender the egg, sugar, flour, cornstarch, 1 cup reserved pineapple juice. Cook until thick (easy in the microwave). Cool. Fold in whipping cream. Spread over salad. Top with grated cheese. |
