EASY SKILLET CHILI 
1 lb. ground beef
1/2 c. chopped onion
2 1/2 c. left-over cooked pintos or shellies
3 c. home-canned tomatoes
1 tbsp. chili powder
Salt and pepper to taste

Saute onion in 2 tablespoons butter in large skillet. Set onion aside. Brown beef and drain. Pour onion, tomatoes and beans over beef, stir until mixed and bubbling. Add chili powder, salt and pepper and stir.

Let simmer slowly, taste to see if more salt and pepper or chili is needed. Serve with crackers and a salad. Serves 4. I like a little garlic powder, too.
