CHOCOLATE NUT DAINTIES | |
3/4 c. butter 3/4 c. sugar 1 lg. egg 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla 2 c. flour 1 tsp. salt 1 tbsp. milk 3/4 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line ungreased cookie sheet with wax or parchment paper. DO NOT GREASE PAPER. Cream butter and sugar together until light and fluffy. Add egg and vanilla and blend on high speed 1 minute. Add flour, salt, and milk; blend well. Stir in chocolate chips. Shape by hand into 2 inch long logs and place on cookie sheet. Bake 14 minutes. Immediately remove cookies from sheet and cool on rack. FROSTING: 3/4 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips 1 tbsp. butter 3/4 c. nuts, finely ground Melt chocolate and butter over low heat in heavy saucepan. Dip end of log into chocolate. Then roll on nuts. |
