I made brigadeiro, a Brazilian bon-bon with this recipe, it turned out great! It was cooked on medium heat for about 10 minutes and there's no apparent scrambled eggs! All is well and this recipe is a life saver! :)

I really can't stand sweetened condensed milk. I avoid any recipe that calls for it. Wow, this is great. Now I can make many things I've wanted to try. Thank you!

Thank you for this recipe for sweetened condensed milk. It's the day before Thanksgiving and I am starting to make the pies. Egads! No condensed milk. I'm saved with your recipe.

Found this recipe when I found myself without store bought sweetened condensed milk. Used store bought the next time and could tell a difference. Don't think I will ever buy store bought again!

I have a question - my recipe that uses condensed milk does not get cooked nor baked. Is it safe to use this with the raw eggs?

 Daniel (District of Columbia) replies:
If you're concerned about your eggs, you can always use pasteurized eggs from a carton (like Egg Beaters).
