SAUSAGE JAMBALAYA | |
1 lb. smoked sausage, cut into 1/2 inch slices 1/2 c. chopped green onion 1 (28 oz.) can tomatoes 1/4 tsp. pepper 1 1/2 c. water 1 lb. ground beef 1 med. bell pepper, chopped 5 cloves minced garlic 1/2 tsp. salt 1 c. uncooked raw rice Cook sausage in skillet until browned; remove from skillet and drain fat. Combine beef, green pepper, onion and garlic. Cook until beef is browned. Add tomatoes, salt, pepper and sausage. Cover and simmer 20 minutes. Add rice and water, cover and cook additional 25 minutes or until rice is tender. 4 to 6 servings. |
