2 tbsp. oil 1 med. onion, chopped 1 clove garlic, crushed 1 1/2 lbs. lean ground beef 1 (16 oz.) tomato sauce 1 tsp. chili powder 1 tsp. oregano 1/8 tsp. ground cloves 2 (16 oz.) cans kidney beans 1 (8-10 oz.) pkg. corn chips 2 c. shredded lettuce 1 red. onion, thinly sliced in rings 8 oz. pkg. grated Cheddar cheese Heat oil in skillet. Add onion and garlic, saute. Add ground beef, brown. Drain. Add tomato sauce, seasonings and beans. Place 1/2 package corn chips in greased baking dish. Spoon 1/2 meat mixture over chips and repeat layers, ending with meat. Bake at 325 degrees for 20 minutes. Remove and garnish with lettuce, red onion and cheese. |
