CUCUMBER PICKLE STICKS 
Use 7 pounds of large cucumbers after seeded and made into sticks 1/2 inch wide to 3 or 4 inches long.

Dissolve 2 cups lime in 2 gallons cold water. Add cucumbers and let stand 24 hours.

Pour off lime water and rinse until water pours off clear.

Put in clear ice water for 3 hours, and drain.

Mix the following ingredients in pan over fire. 1 tsp. ground cinnamon 1 tsp. whole cloves 2 qt. vinegar 1 tsp. celery seed 1 tbsp. salt

Stir and heat until hot and sugar is dissolved. Cool and pour over cucumber sticks. Let set overnight. Next morning heat pickles in liquid and when it just starts to boil add a few drops of green food coloring. Simmer 35 minutes. Jar in hot sterilized jars.
