1 1/4 c. brown sugar, packed
1 c. sugar
1 c. Crisco
3 lg. eggs
3 c. flour
1 pinch each salt, baking soda
18 oz. chocolate chips
4 oz. pecans (broken in pieces)
8 oz. bittersweet chocolate (melted for dipping)

Cream together sugars, shortening, soda and salt until fluffy. Mix in flour until smooth. Blend in chocolate chips and pecan pieces. Mix well. Drop rounded teaspoonfuls of dough onto greased baking sheet (3 inches apart). Flatten slightly with spoon.

Bake in preheated 375 degree oven 8-10 minutes or until ready. When cookies have cooled, dip half in melted chocolate. Put on waxed paper to harden and cool chocolate.

Sinfully delicious.
